Call for Papers

MET 2027 invites contributions of original research, reviews, case studies and industrial applications across four thematic tracks. The formal Call for Papers is scheduled for release in October 2026.

Invitation

Share your work with the global marine engineering community

The conference brings together researchers, engineers, classification societies, regulators and industry to address the decarbonisation and digital transformation of shipping. Every accepted contribution is peer reviewed and presented in a technical session alongside keynote addresses and panel discussions.

Contributions are welcome from academia and from industry alike. We particularly encourage submissions that report practical experience, operational data or regulatory experience, and submissions from postgraduate students and early-career researchers, for whom dedicated sessions are planned.

What you can submit

  • Original research papers
  • Review papers
  • Case studies
  • Industrial applications and operational experience

Submission requirements are not yet published. Abstract length, paper templates, page limits and the review policy will be confirmed with the formal Call for Papers in October 2026. TBC

Process

How submission will work

  1. Submit an abstract

Choose one of the four thematic tracks and submit your abstract through the conference submission system.

  2. Abstract review

The international scientific committee reviews every abstract and notifies authors of the outcome.

  3. Submit the full paper

Authors of accepted abstracts prepare a full paper to the published template and submit it by the deadline.

  4. Peer review and final acceptance

Full papers are peer reviewed. Authors receive final acceptance together with the session programme.

  5. Register and present

At least one author registers for the conference and presents the work in the assigned technical session.

The submission system is not open yet. Abstracts are received through the conference submission platform. The link appears here and in the Call for Papers when the platform opens in November 2026.
